Beginners

Classic Route

Enjoy a relaxing horseback ride through the fossil dunes of the Doñana coast: it's a classic, and undoubtedly the most visited route. A complete and unforgettable experience with panoramic views of the sea and the Doñana National Park.

Private Route

Experienced riders

Please note that all our rides for experienced riders are carried out with sport horses, especially trained for those routes. They are physically strong and bright, that's why we require that all the riders must have an advanced level riding and feel perfectly comfortable at all three gaits riding outdoor. Riders booking the long rides must be fit and healthy.

Multi-day getaway

Discover the Doñana Park from every angle, with fun and very dynamic routes. You can pick the length of your stay from 1 to 3 days. You will enjoy many trot and canters and we will share with you the local customs that are so captivating.

For advanced riders only, used to riding sport horses in open areas. Riders must come fit and healthy.

    • 1 Day ride : 6-7h trail ride through the Doñana Natural Park (Southern area)
    • 2-Day rides: + 2-2h30 hack on the Doñana virgin beach and its dunes
    • 3-Day rides: + 4-5h trail ride through the village of El Rocío and the Doñana National Park (Northern area)

    • Route 1 day through Southern Doñana: low season €350 per person for horseback riding only, including some snacks.
    • Route 2 days through  Southern Doñana and Doñana beach & dunes: low season €450 per person for horseback riding only, including some snacks.
    • Route 3 days through Southern Doñana, El Rocio & Northern Coto Doñana, and Doñana beach & dunes: low season €650 per person for horseback riding only, including some snacks.

    • Must be fit, with good physical condition and free from injuries.

  • On all routes: Only one person can ride per horse. Small children cannot ride the same horse as an adult. It is prohibited for safety reasons.

Discover the surroundings of the horse riding routes of Doñana Hípica el Pasodoble

The routes begin among pine and juniper forests, near the Matalascañas resort. Once in the Natural Park, the ascent continues through the Asperillo fossil dune system. This is one of the tallest coastal dune systems in Europe—a true feast for the eyes. To the north, a magnificent landscape unfolds with the National Park in the background, its incredible expanse becoming apparent when viewed from above. To the south, the Atlantic Ocean washes over nearly 60 km of pristine beaches, its immensity awe-inspiring.

The landscape is unlike almost anything you've ever seen: dunes of fine, orange sand held in place by coastal vegetation of incredible shapes, adapted to the constant westerly winds and the saline environment. Endangered species like junipers mingle with scallops, gorse, carnations, and savin junipers. The scents of vegetation and gentle breezes intoxicate us. Occasionally, small lizards dart across our path, and warblers, chiffchaffs, and magpies flit among the bushes... and now and then, a bird of prey soars overhead in search of rabbits or lizards.

This area is rich in footprints and traces left mainly at night by mammals such as mice, voles, rabbits, badgers, foxes and even the occasional lynx extends its range to this area.

Finally, you reach the top of the coastal cliff that separates the dunes from the beach. A spectacular place formed by sands of different textures and colors, deposited in successive layers over the last 10,000 years. A true lesson in geology.

Cancellation Policy


+ Routes booked:


If you wish to cancel your reservation, you must send an email to the following address: info@donana-rutas-caballo.com, indicating the name, reservation number and reservation date.


· Concerning the Classic Routes, Private Ride and Private beach Ride , the amount will be refunded according to the following rules:


- If the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the date of the visit, 70% of the payment made will be refunded within the next 10 business days.


- If the booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the date of the visit, you will not be entitled to any refund.


Under no circumstances will more than 70% of the amount paid be refunded (the remaining 30% belongs to online sales expenses and is non-refundable).


- In the event that the Equestrian Center suspends the activity due to adverse weather conditions (rain or excessively strong wind), you will receive a voucher and the date may be changed to any other within the period of one year. There will be no refund of the amount paid.



· Concerning the 1-day, 2-day, 3-day and 5-day Getaway, as well as all the special rides not listed on this website , the deposit is nonrefundable.



+ Gift vouchers: There are no refunds.


If you have redeemed your gift voucher and need to change the scheduled date of your visit:


- If it is more than 24 hours in advance of the visit date, you can change it once to another date within the following 3 months.


- If it is less than 24 hours before the visit date, the date cannot be changed.
